There are many modes of transportation. One of those modes is the train. A journey by train is not a big thing in this modern civilization. It is always an exciting and joyful experience. No matter if we go on a journey for the first time or the 10th time, we always feel so merry.

I went on a journey by train in December 2022. At that time, our school was closed as our annual examination was over. My uncle and aunt live in Dhaka. I told them to take me to travel to Dhaka and they agreed. They came home to take me and I was over the moon as a journey by train is always pleasant to me.

The day was fixed. My uncle bought the tickets earlier. On the fixed day, we reached the station. We had to wait about ten minutes as the train wasn’t in yet. The station was so noisy and crowded. There were so many people. So many vendors were there who were crying out loudly to sell their goods. After a while, the train came and we took our seats. We occupied three comfortable seats in the second-class compartment.

At 9:00 am, the guard whistled and waved his flag. The train whistled very loudly and started moving slowly. I felt great relief and joy in my heart. The train ran at a moderate speed. Inside the train, the passengers were talking and the place was so noisy. But the view outside was glorious. I saw so many mind-blowing things. Fields, trees, houses, schools, and many more things. Among them, the thing that made me happiest was the JHAUBON. When I lived in the countryside, I used to see it every day while going to and coming back from school. But after moving to the city, I couldn’t see it anymore and missed it. To be honest, I never thought that I would ever get to see it again. So I was thrilled by seeing JHAUBON after a long time. The train crossed a bridge over a river with a very clattering sound. It passed through some villages. All the things were so charming to me.

At around 5:00 pm, we reached our destination, Dhaka. We got down from the train and got into the cab that my uncle called. Then we reached our uncle’s home in an hour.

The rhythm of the train is so melodious to me. Joy is always found in a train journey. I’m really happy that I could make sweet memories on this journey that I’m going to cherish forever. A train is a small world moving through a large world.
